Crawford Rodriguez Elementary School
Jackson Township, NJ
Jackson Township is one of the fastest growing towns in Ocean County and in the State. This growth has tremendously impacted their schools, especially at the elementary and middle school levels. To meet this need, the Jackson Township School District passed a $22.9M referendum for a new elementary school, and an addition/renovations to two other schools. The new Crawford Rodriguez Elementary School is 100,300 sf in size and accommodates 800 general education students in grades K-5, and an additional 84 self-contained special education students creating a total capacity of 884. The special subject areas include a media center, cafetorium, gymnasium, vocal/general music room, instrumental music/stage, art room, and a computer lab. The addition/renovations to the Howard C. Johnson Elementary School contains four general classrooms and the Jackson Memorial High School addition is ten academic classrooms.
