University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)/Stratford Campus has commissioned VITETTA to execute a complex renovation and major addition to an existing 60,000 ambulatory care facility. The project's scope will require the selective renovation of much of the existing building, the provision of 30,000 SF of new space and the additional provision of 20,000 SF of shell space, to be set aside for both clinical and educational functions. The Stratford Campus, located next to Kennedy Memorial Hospital, is an osteopathic teaching facility, accommodating academic, clinical and community education needs. The proposed facility will provide a series of clinical functions that are uniquely shaped by UMDNJ's teaching mission. Key programs in the facility will include pediatric care, care programs for the developmentally disabled, OB/Gyn and a Center for Aging as well as an array of other medical specialty clinics. The new construction is intended to create an inviting new entry court, funneling people into a three-story Atrium that will link the proposed and existing facilities into one.
