Independence National Historical Park

VITETTA led the restoration of Independence National Historical Park since 1993. The Park contains over 40 historic buildings, the vast majority of which are 18th c. structures. A computer documentation package based on both existing documentation and field work was created. The new package includes full documentation of the buildings as well as site surveys and below grade archeological features. The contract investigated energy needs at the Park to recommend energy conservation strategies to meet federal mandates without compromising the historic nature of the buildings. The centerpiece of the work involved significant portions of Independence Hall.
