Hillsborough Community College, Security Master Plan

Hillsborough Community College serves the City of Tampa, Florida and three adjacent counties. VITETTA was tasked with conducting site surveys and developing a Security Master Plan for four campuses and the college’s administrative headquarters. The Master Plan was inclusive of development of a Public Safety and Security Command Center along with physical and electronic security enhancements at each campus. These security improvements consisted of electronic access controls, video surveillance, volumetric space protection, emergency assistance stations and situational annunciation devices. The three million dollar system design permits the best use of security staff while minimizing the number of staff positions while maximizing the level of safety and security.
