Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital

Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital is a 450-bed replacement facility providing the State of New Jersey with an entirely new tool for the provision of inpatient psychiatric care. The plan focuses on the creation of a dynamic inpatient setting, in which patient activity is supported and directed towards increasing levels of functional competency, leading to discharge and a life within the community. Consolidating facilities and functions that are currently scattered in a number of buildings across the current 750-acre site, the proposed design creates a new relationship with the commanding landscape. Dirtworks, the project's landscape architect, has been involved from the inception of the design to shape a truly healing landscape for patients, family and staff.

Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital received a New Jersey Golden Trowel International Masonry Institute “Special Recognition” in 2009.
