Lancaster Public Library Expansion and Renovation

VITETTA provided Architectural Design Services for the expansion and renovation of the Lancaster Public Library, PA. The project includes the existing 40,000 sf Historic Library in downtown Lancaster and an 18,000 sf addition. The initial concept design was developed for the fundraising efforts. The plan includes expanded areas for all of the collections and services of the Library including Children, Teens, Adults, Business Center, Meeting Rooms and the addition of a Café. The expansion creates a new façade for the library at the back entrance of the building – the parking lot entrance, yet retains the historic Duke Street façade at the front with a new accessible entrance.
