Philadelphia City Hall

We began our work on City Hall in 1992 as the lead for a multi-disciplinary design team to create a master plan for the building, which was comprised of an historic structures report, building conditions assessment report, use plan, implementation plan and maintenance plan. Our work has continued to this day as part of that team, associated with Kelly/Maiello Architects. Our planning work has included schematic design for the rehabilitation and modernization of the building’s northeast quadrant, a plan for façade lighting the facades and tower, a fine arts database and a project for new public uses on the ground floor including a visitor center, art gallery and restaurant. Our technical studies have included a report on roof leaks and a scientific report on options for cleaning the building’s marble and granite facades.
