Horsham Township Library

VITETTA planned and designed the new 25,000 sf Township Public Library, the first Library in this community's 300 year history. The design features a best- seller collection, general collections/reference/periodicals, progressive children's areas, a special young adult/teen area and a meeting center/cafe'. The library was designed to be visually accessible from the main circulation desk, with minimal structure in the library. The reading areas are on the north side of the building for optimal natural light, and the west for views of the surrounding landscape. The building exterior incorporates a palette of traditional Pennsylvania stone with contemporary glass and metal wall systems and the warmth of natural wood interiors.
