US Federal Courthouse Annex

The design of this 170,000 sf United States Courthouse Annex provides for full separation of public, in custody, and private circulation systems in both the new Annex and the existing building, solving problems which date from original construction. The base and "bookends" of the Annex are clad in limestone, while the main body of the building is clad in modern glass and masonry veneer systems. The most striking feature of the building is the central glass element on the north side of the building which provides natural light to the courtroom lobbies and invites a view into the courthouse.
